When renting makes more sense than buying

Renting fits short-term needs: hiring a drone for one filming session, a full sound and lighting rig for a single year-end party, or a truck for one moving trip. Buying a professional camera worth tens of millions of đồng just to use a few times a year is far less efficient than renting it for 400,000đ/day. Event-organizing businesses also typically rent tables, tents and sound systems instead of maintaining year-round storage.

Three delivery modes: hybrid, at the provider, at your location

Motorbikes, bicycles, hand tools, portable speakers and projectors are hybrid — you can pick up at the rental point or request delivery, confirmed within 30-60 minutes. Professional cameras and self-drive cars are at-provider, meaning you go inspect and collect the item in person before signing. Tables, tents, sound systems, trucks and forklifts are at-customer because they're bulky; the provider brings them to you, and confirmation takes longer, 120-240 minutes, due to transport logistics.

How the booking process works on vServe

You choose the item, check the reference price and rental duration, then book instantly — the order is confirmed by the provider within the response window set for that category, 30 minutes for motorbikes or hand tools, 240 minutes for drones or forklifts. Once confirmed, both sides arrange the pickup location, deposit and item condition directly. vServe only connects the two parties and records the transaction; it does not hold deposits or guarantee the equipment.

Paperwork, deposits and rules to know when renting vehicles

To rent a motorbike or self-drive car, providers typically ask for your original ID card, a valid matching license (A1 for motorbikes/scooters, B1/B2 for cars), and a cash deposit or held ID document. The deposit amount is negotiated directly between the two parties; vServe does not set or collect it. For drones, renters must check no-fly zones and obtain flight permits if filming in sensitive areas — this responsibility belongs to the renter, not vServe or the provider.

Liability if equipment is damaged or an incident occurs

Liability for damage, loss, or a vehicle accident is agreed directly between renter and provider before handover; it's wise to photograph the item's condition or note it in a written receipt to avoid disputes later. vServe does not mediate compensation disputes or act as an insurer for the transaction. For motorbikes and self-drive cars, ask the provider about mandatory civil liability insurance and repair cost policy before signing for the vehicle.

Notes for businesses renting equipment for events

Businesses organizing events often need to rent a full package — sound and lighting rigs, tents and tables — at once, so book at least 2-3 days ahead since at-customer confirmation windows run 120-180 minutes and require coordinating transport and setup. If you need a VAT invoice, discuss this directly with the provider before booking, as not every provider on the platform is a registered entity able to issue one.
